Eid Celebration

Eid, the festival that upholds the spirit of brotherhood, love and secularism, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of the Pre-Primary section of the school. The spirit of Eid was well imbibed by the students. The teachers took meticulous steps to make the young minds understand the real essence of this festival. The blooming buds in their traditional costumes conveyed the message of patience and kindness.

With an objective to encourage general awareness and action for the environment, our Pre-primary section celebrated World Environment Day on 17th June 2022.Tiny tots of class Nursery and Jr.kg carried out Palm printing activity while class Sr.kg planted seeds in coconut shell and watered them with great enthusiasm and pride. Students got an excellent opportunity to explore nature. The walls were filled with environment protection slogans and messages. A short video with the theme ‘To protect the environment’ was also shown to the students. It was a day for doing something positive – an earnest collaborative effort was made by the teachers and students to infuse a renewed support for environmental conservation along with other environmental concerns.

Red Colour Day

Can we imagine a world without colours? Not at all! Nature itself has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. With this objective the students from Pre-Primary, celebrated “Red Colour Day” on, Friday, 29th April 2022.The ‘Red Colour Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning activity which helped children to understand the concept of Primary Colours. Red colour also signifies Love and Compassion. To mark this day very special, students and the teachers were dressed in red colour clothes. Activity display boards were decorated with red colour objects. Students actively participated in their class activities.

Blue Colour Day

BLUE is a cool and calming colour that shows creativity and intelligence. Pre-primary students of our school celebrated Blue colour day with immense enthusiasm and zeal. The dress code of the day was blue. All the children dressed up in different shades and hues of blue. Decorative display boards and tables enabled the little ones to be innovative and it also enhanced their logical and reasoning minds. Children improved their vocabulary by learning new words through meticulously organized class activities. Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long-lasting effect on every student. Children enjoyed the activities with immense enthusiasm and zeal.

Colours are brighter when the mind is open”. We at PPS (Hinjewadi) believe that every child has an ocean of inner strengths. But the only need is to develop these strengths and to develop this power it is necessary that proper environment, guidance, and encouragement should be provided as required. For that Colouring activity was conducted for Pre-primary Children (Nursery – Jr.KG) .Little ones have always fantasized about colours where the students brought in their colourful imaginations. Children participated with zeal and showed their talent. It helped them in exploring new ideas, creativity as well as a sense of colours.

Clay Moulding Activity

Playing and crafting with clay being kid’s favourite activity. They learn basic shapes techniques and gain mastery of moulding. It was a great way to develop imagination and sparkle creativity to think out of the box……!!Under the guidance and direction of their teachers our little ones came up with their own ideas and stunning creations. This outstanding sensory activity enhanced dexterity, gross and fine motor skills and helped to boost the self-confidence of the students. It promoted problem solving skills as they experimented with the building techniques and adapted to changes along the way.

 

Parental love is the only love that is truly selfless, unconditional and forgiving’. Pawar Public School, Hinjewadi celebrated Parents Day virtually on July 23rd, 2022. A short but meaningful programme was presented to honour the parents and appreciate their efforts in bringing up their children. The teachers made the students realise the commitment and sacrifice their parents put in everyday towards bringing them up in a safe environment and in nurturing their lives. Video was played for parents where students expressed their love and gratitude towards their parents in melodious rhymes. The teachers requested the students to use their creativity with Palm printing activity and prepare A jar with light bugs (Craft) along with their parents. The students presented their token of love to their parents and it was an emotional moment to see them hug and kiss each other. Teachers also arranged fireless cooking activities for parents and kids. Family picture video compilation was also shown to the parents by the teacher. The celebration ended on a happy note with both the parents and children promising to be there always for one another.

Grandparent’s Day

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honor them, the Sr.KG section celebrated Virtual Grandparents Day on July 23rd, 2022. The function started with welcoming the grandparents followed by beautiful quotes and dance performance. The students beautifully sang a song for their grandparents.
To balance the tones set by the events thus far, we had an interaction session in which grandparents participated with great zeal and shared their thoughts and feelings. Teachers played a School tour and photo compilation video for them which brought a twinkle to their otherwise dull eyes. The general mood was one of exultation and everyone seemed truly happy. It was a successful event indeed, and the school as always would be pleased to organize many such more events.

Yellow Colour Day

Decked in yellow, we are in mellow. The little ones of Pawar Public School, Hinjewadi have celebrated Yellow Colour day with ecstasy, joy and happiness. They have indulged in creating different craft work, bearing the theme yellow. The essence of colour yellow has truly been captured by them, in right earnest, that has turned the occasion beautiful and extremely eye soothing, which the colour yellow really epitomises.

Know my Country Week

Child starts learning about the meaning and value of our country from an early age. Knowing our country and understanding the meaning of national symbols is also important, as these symbols are representations of what the country believes in. To instill a sense of patriotism and a sense of belonging to a community our teachers of Pre-primary planned various activities to teach our young minds to respect our country and its symbols that they stand for, which also represented their thoughts, emotions and feelings of a country and its people. These activities also encourage and promote democratic values and civic involvement in them.

The celebration of a language is the celebration of its culture. Hindi Diwas was celebrated in our school to inculcate love for the Hindi language and get to know about the importance of the Hindi Diwas. To help our children imbibe the values of our language, PPSH celebrated Hindi Diwas with great pride. Various activities like Hindi speech, Hindi poem recitation, recitation of dohey, singing, dancing, nukkad natak etc were presented by the students from class Sr.kg to class 3 to explore the beauty and opulence of the language.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

The Pre-primary section of PPS Hinjewadi celebrated Raksha Bandhan with full zeal and endeavour that one associates with this auspicious festival. The objective behind celebrating ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was making the children aware about the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. Rakshabandhan is known as a sign of protection. Likewise, we want to protect the trees as they do the same for us. “Taking this opportunity to spread awareness about the environment, our tiny tots tied rakhi on plant with an aim to protect nature. The tiny tots, in traditional attires enthusiastically participated in rakhi making and colouring activities. The vibrant, colourful attires and innocent smiles brightened the ambience and lifted the spirit.

Green is the most common colour in the natural world, think of nature and see green in all its glory expressing renewal, life and energy. All the students and teachers came dressed up in the different shades of green and the classes became vibrant with the beautiful green backgrounds. Students were taught the identification and recognition of green vegetables, leaves, trees and various green objects. To provide sensory experience to our kids for exploring this colour, few activities were also conducted. Children also took part with great enthusiasm in craft activities related to green colour. They displayed their creative skills using their tiny magical fingers. These activities helped children to develop fine motor coordination, focus, encourage self-expression and stimulate creativity. Celebration of green colour days provided an opportunity to our little munchkins a practical learning experience.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas brings cheer and love and we celebrate it with the same fervour, spreading the message of love and joy among our children. Our Nursery angels danced to joyful tunes. Even the angels and Santa danced to the exciting tunes followed by a Christmas skit and carol presented by the teachers. The teachers made the day special for their children by involving them in various Christmas craft activities.

Joy of Giving

"There are a lot of things in the world that can make us smile but nothing beats the invaluable joy of making someone happy. "The Joy of Giving Week is an event that is observed every year at our School with a lot of enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of empathy and generosity of the students, teachers and parents alike. Teachers motivated their students to donate essentials for the needy people. Students learn the value of giving and truly celebrate the joy of sharing. We focus on helping the less fortunate through all school donation drives. Then the items collected are given to different local organizations including local orphanages, Tribal Schools and special needs schools. We also got an opportunity to thank our school’s attendants and class attendants with our acts and words of kindness by gifting them a small token of love.

Navaratri Celebration.

Festivals bring happiness, faith, devotion, and a sense of unity to everyone. So, our school celebrated ‘Dandiya Raas’ in which students of Pre-primary participated with great enthusiasm. All the students attired in traditional dresses added to the festive mood. Students along with teachers danced on the beats and tune of ‘Dandiya’ very devotedly with their heart out creating a vibrant and exuberant show. 

Diwali Celebration

 The Diwali celebrations at school often mean a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the class. The activities permeate the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness and hope. The students of Pre-primary celebrated the festival of Diwali with great enthusiasm.

Rhyme Recitation Activity (Sr.Kg)

Recitation activities help students to build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. Keeping this in mind, English Rhyme Recitation activity was organized for Sr. KG students. Children astonished everyone with their voice modulation and amazing recitation skills. 

Children’s Day

A day marking childhood, and to make this event a memorable for our little ones, Pawar Public School, Hinjawadi celebrated Children’s Day on 14 November 2023 in the school premises. The day focused on children and their enjoyment. The day commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence. The tiny tots of Pre-primary came dressed up in casual clothes and brought their favourite snacks to eat. The celebrations began with the Morning Prayer, followed by variety of fun filled activities dance, music and puppetry planned by the teachers for their children. The teachers made Children’s Day special for their children by involving them in various craft activities. All the children were given chocolates as a token of love from their teachers

Clay moulding activity (Nursery and Jr.KG)

Clay moulding is an activity that helps in the development of pre-primary students in several ways. It nurtures a child’s creativity, boosts imagination, and imbibes self-confidence. The touch and feel of clay have a naturally relaxing quality. By pressing, squeezing, poking, and reshaping the clay into different shapes, improves a child’s motor skills. Our tiny tots participated in the Clay Modelling activity with great enthusiasm The students used their imagination and creativity to make and decorate the models made from clay. The activity was enjoyed by all the students and it was displayed at the school premises for their parents to see.

English Story telling Activity (Sr.KG and Jr.KG)

A story can imbibe the right value in the most impressionable age “In our quest to promote academic excellence and encourage students, PPS Hinjawadi organized a story telling activity for Sr and Jr.KG. The students participated with their tremendous effort to make this event a successful one. The stories that they narrated were moral based and these young story tellers used a variety of props to make their stories interesting and expressive. Each story concluded with a moral highlighting different values of life. The young storytellers won everyone’s heart.

Fancy Dress

“The most beautiful world is always entered through imagination.”- Helen Keller. Although perceived as a mere fun activity, fancy dress is of great benefit to children especially for pre-schoolers and for children that are in the foundation years for building their imagination and vocabulary. To enhance creativity, imagination and build confidence; a Fancy Dress activity was conducted for the students of Pre-primary. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility. They were all smartly dressed and took part with much enthusiasm. The students presented themselves by sharing information about the characters they depicted. They enjoyed coming dressed as their favourite food, gadgets” and for topic called as “Me and my abstract partner” in the Fancy Dress Activity. They all looked vibrant in their colourful and different costumes and played their parts confidently. The students were given an opportunity to speak in front of others and bring forth their talents.

Kite Festival

Our school celebrated the Kite Festival on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, on 13th January, 2023. The school campus was beautifully decorated with colourful kites made by our Pre-primary students. Students and teachers enjoyed the kite flying activity in our school grounds and in no time the bright blue sky was beautifully adorned by vibrant coloured kites. The students had an exciting time by participating in the kite flying activity.

Cultural Day

Cultural Day was celebrated with great gusto and enthusiasm. The students came fully clad in their traditional dress. Their attire looked simply amazing as they collectively displayed an array of colours that reflected the diversity of India. It was a moment of great joy and pride as we all stood united to celebrate the spirit of Indian Tradition. All the students gathered at the skating rink and few students of Pre-primary even presented some dance and song related to their tradition. Pre-primary teachers were dressed up in their own different traditional attires and introduced their culture to their friends which showed their love and respect for their country and also ‘UNITY IN DIVERSITY’. Indeed, it was a day of joy for all, a day to show our love for the nation.

Free Hand Drawing

Free hand drawing is the basis for other creative activities like painting, craft making, sculpture, and more. It helps in the development of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, which is crucial for the overall physical development of the child. It helps to engage the child for a longer time which leads to increased concentration level. Free hand drawing practice is also very important to improve observation skills like perception of size, spacing and proportions. So, to incorporate this practice among our Nursery kids, a free hand drawing activity was held in the respective classes. On the scheduled activity day children did the drawings with  a lot of interest and enthusiasm. The colours on their drawing sheet spread happiness on their faces and their eyes were glowing with confidence.

Project Presentation

Project presentation is an integral part of our school activities.  It is an occasion when students not only present their wonderful performances but also showcase their overall presentation skills.  It gives the students an opportunity to showcase their unique talents and achievements. Our Pre-primary project presentation was spread over three days, one day was for the Sr.kg, the second one was for the Jr.Kg section and the third for Nursery section. All the presentation topics were selected on the basis of their importance and learning outcomes to the children. The program started with the welcoming of the parents. The presentations include dialogues, dance, dramatics and song performances by the students. We tried to address various environmental issues through our students’ performances like ‘Save planet earth’, Animal Kingdom and Food Paradise. Our teachers ensured that there was a hundred percent participation from the students as each child is special and important for us and we believe that every child must be given an opportunity to develop and showcase their talents, and harness their skills and attributes through such public performances. All in all, the entire objective of having Project presentation in the school is to create a harmonious connection of parents with the school and their children and letting them appreciate and enjoy their child’s involvement in these presentations.

Colour Days

Our world is filled with colours, a very important part of learning during Pre-primary years is identification and recognition of colours. Different colour days were celebrated on the last day of every month. Children were excited to see the display done by the teachers on the display board. The curriculum is planned to enable the children to experiment with wide range of activities. Teachers and children discuss about colours during the circle time and rhymes were also included. Students showed their enthusiasm to mix paints to get the secondary colours. Children were given various colourful activities every month. It was an excellent learning experience for children, which enhanced their visual discrimination.
